28 September 2009. The parikrama party today went to Digha Vishnu then to Mathura Devi then Sri Padmanabha temple then to Gopal temple and Satrughna Temple then to Virabhadreshwar Mahadev. This video clip covers only the darshan in Dirgha Vishnu. The rest is in the next video clip.
Dīrgha Viṣṇu Temple When Śrī Kṛṣṇa, Śrī Baladevajī and Their cowherd friends (sakhās) were proceeding to Kaṁsas wrestling arena (raṅgabhūmi), Śrīdāma and other sakhās asked Him, Sakhe! Are You going to raṅgabhūmi? How will You kill the mighty Kaṁsa when you have such small and tender body?
It was here when Śrī Kṛṣṇa then displayed His huge (dīrgha) form, carrying a conchshell, disk, club and lotus flower. Unlike Arjuna who when Krsna manifested his gigantic universal form became overwhelmed with awe and reverence and prayed for forgiveness for his familiarity with Śrī Kṛṣṇa , Krsna's sakhās when they saw the Dirgha Vishnu form, began to clap and rejoice. By Yogamaya, they remain free from any thought of Śrī Kṛṣṇa being the Supreme Lord. They were just thinking that their best friend Kanhaiyā could do anything by the mercy of Nārāyaṇa, and that Nārāyaṇa sometimes manifested through Him. They were impressed and happily, they danced towards the raṅgaśālā with Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
